Cookie lifetimes are maximum periods. Your browser may shorten them, and deleting browser data will remove them sooner.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
The cc_cookie cookie is required to operate our cookie preference tool and remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. It does not measure your use of the website or support advertising.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), consent is not required for storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user. We nevertheless provide information about this cookie for transparency.
4. Google Analytics 4
If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the website. This may include information about:
- Pages viewed and interactions with the website.
- Visit and session times.
- The referring website or campaign.
- Approximate geographic location.
- Browser, device, and operating system information.
- Technical information such as your IP address when your browser communicates with Google.
We use these statistics to evaluate website performance and improve its content and structure. We do not use GA4 for advertising or retargeting. Our implementation denies Google advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalisation, and disables Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals.

5. Consent and your choices
Analytics cookies are off by default. When you first visit the website, the cookie banner allows you to:
- Accept all, which permits analytics cookies.
- Reject non-essential, which keeps analytics cookies off.
- Manage preferences, which lets you review the available categories before deciding.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops future GA4 collection through the website and prompts the website to remove its GA4 cookies. It does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent you from using the website. If you delete cc_cookie, we will no longer know your previous choice and the banner will ask you again.
Where we rely on consent, it is also our lawful basis under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) for any personal data collected through optional analytics cookies. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent the website from remembering your preference, so the cookie banner may reappear.

7. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. The website does not currently respond automatically to this signal because there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should interpret it. GA4 remains off unless you actively allow analytics cookies, and you can reject or withdraw consent through our cookie controls at any time.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes or when legal or regulatory requirements develop. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we make changes. If a change materially affects a choice you previously made, we may ask you to make that choice again.
